You sit down on your Steelcase Leap Chair chair but it immediately sinks on its own. Sometimes it will even sink slowly as you do your work. Luckily, there is a simple one time fix for this issue.
The following is a fix for a Steelcase leap chair with a side activated cylinder. Please make sure that top of cylinder arrow points directly at the flat piece as shown in the following picture in order for the up and down lever to work properly.

If the issue persists, you can try to remove the cylinder and reinstall correctly as seen in the following video.

The following is for a Steelcase Leap chair with a top activated cylinder. Simply, slide the seat forward and release it.

You will see a screw sitting on top of the chair’s cylinder. Loosen that screw just a bit. That is it, your Leap chair is now fixed. You can watch the following video to see how easily your Leap could be fixed.
