Order Processing

What happens behind the scene after completing your order?

As soon as you complete your order, our online processing system will email you an order confirmation, containing your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, email address, and details of your order.

If any of the information is incorrect, please email us at support@officechairatwork.com.

Please note that we do not charge a fee for standard shipping.

Once we purchase a shipping label for your order, we will add the tracking # on your order which you can check by logging in to your account.

You will also be able to watch the progress of your shipment using the tracking number.

You can subscribe to get automatic shipment updates on fedex.com or ups.com by entering your tracking number and clicking on Get Status Updates.

Most other carriers have an option to subscribe to shipment updates as well.

Understanding FedEx and UPS Tracking Terminology

“Label created” means that we are still processing your order and making everything ready for FedEx or UPS shipment. At this time, please disregard the expected ship date and delivery date on the FedEx or UPS label as those are only estimates.

“In transit” means that FedEx or UPS are in possession of your order and it is on its way to the shipping address on record. The label will also contain a highly likely delivery date. During this time, if you would like to change the delivery date for any reason, you can contact FedEx at 800.463.3339 or UPS at 888.742.5877 and schedule a different delivery date.

“Delivered” means that FedEx or UPS has delivered your order to the shipping address on record. The label will show the exact date and time your order was delivered.

In transit time

FedEx or UPS shipment – overnight to 5 business days
Freight service – overnight to 15 business days
Expedited shipping available upon request.

Order processing time

Basic chair – overnight to 4 business days
Chair with added features – 5 to 10 business days
Expedited processing available upon request.

Quick Ship

If you choose the Quick Ship option available on many items, we will process your order within 48 business hours and ship with FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. FedEx or UPS will deliver your item between 1 and 5 business days.

Bulk orders could have extended processing time. Please contact customer support for an estimated shipping time.

Why does it take several business days to process orders?

We need time to process each order as we ship chairs nearly fully or fully assembled, depending on the chair, with all customizations and upgraded features installed. We ship many orders each day. Therefore, no pick up is scheduled at our address, rather we ship an entire truckload to FedEx or UPS regional sorting center.
