    Chair was in excellent shape.

I wanted to share my experience for those worried about the price, height, and feel of this chair.

    Myself:
Male 6′ and 160lbs. Long legs and arms. Work on a computer at a desk and will be using the chair to work from home two days a week.

    The interaction:
    – Placed an order for the chair with quiet roll wheels. Got an email that I was charged.
    – There was no indication the chair had shipped and the phone number always goes to voicemail.
    – On the 9th day I called. No response.
    – On the 9th day I reached out to try to get my money back because I was worried the chair would be to low and/or never arrive.
    – On the 11th day I received a response with a tracking number and the suggestion to refuse delivery so it would be shipped back and I would be refunded.
    – Later on the 11th the chair arrived and there was no signature required and it was left outside concealed loosely between two boxes.
    – Curiosity got the best of me and I pulled the boxes apart.

    The chair:
    – “Gray Fabric” noted in the description is not graphite as pictured. It’s more of a silver.
    – The upgraded rollers are really nice. It did not ship with standard ones/flat inserts. Kinda wish I switched to the polished base. :p
    – Chair appears new. Unlike the low back floor model at DWR it does not creak when reclined in. The fabric up top does make some noise and there are some small imperfections where the fabric is attached and on the base. Idk how to check if it’s genuine but it seems to be.
    – I initially cancelled my order because I feared the chair would be to low. This is not the case. This chair stands at just under 21 inches up front despite the short looking ‘piston’ (it’s not adjustable). The standard/adjustable chair has a max height of 20 inches according to their specs (max height). I suspect some of this height is gained from the soft glide coasters. This model does not have adjustable height. I’m 6 foot with long legs. There is some pressure on my thighs and I find myself resting my feet on the coasters which is bad… Ideally, I would shave an inch from the height (normal wheels?) or have a height adjustment (not stock on the lounge model).
    – The soft glide coasters are high quality and enhance rather than detract from chair. They are permanently attached and stock coasters are not provided. They give more rolling resistance than the stock coasters. They measure 4″ high which may be contributing to the height issues.
    – I’m 160 lbs. This ‘lounge’ model is stiff and very ‘shoulder forward’ contrary to what you might expect from a ‘lounge’ chair. It is a bit much but still reasonable for a desk chair.
    – The recline is stiff and bias towards the upright position (ideal for a desk chair; the executive chair is the opposite). I can’t imagine lounging/reclining in this chair.
    – All Setu model’s have a very opinionated back support design. They require your back to arc which I love but others may hate.
    – The mesh seat and back is nice. I’ve been a long time since I have had a non mesh chair but in theory this breathes better and doesn’t wear out as fast as foam. Compared to cheaper fabric chairs this one is more consistent in pressure distribution and might stretch less. I do feat it will wear our trousers and sweaters faster – time will tell.

Compared to other Herman Miller chairs:
    – This chair is simpler, lighter, and more opinionated than the others. It wants you to arc your back and keep your shoulders forward.
    – The ‘standard’ Setu chair is height adjustable and much lighter. The standard rollers glide easier (I like the slight resistance of the quiet roll more)
    – The newer Cosm design is heavier and less opinionated with your back.
Setu vs Cosm === posture vs zero gravity.
    – Compared to the Aeron I prefer both of of these chairs. Both are simpler and offer better back support which is what made me search for a higher end chair in the first place. The Aeron has the nicest feeling plastic and offers controls.

I would buy it again because it’s a good value and I expect it to last. I wish the height were an inch lower.
